Due to recent expansion, my client, a successful coach transportation and distribution company, seek a new Workshop Manager for their depot in Birmingham.
As a Workshop Manager you will be responsible for the maintenance of a fleet of coaches and HGV vehicles, and will have overall management of the workshop on a day to day basis.
You will have overall responsibility for the fleet, and the general maintenance of the workshop and depot.
The role involves managing three fitters, including a fleet of 10 coaches and 15 HGV vehicles.
You will make sure the garage and vehicles are ran and maintained correctly.
You will be responsible for ensuring that servicing vehicles and fault checks are carried out correctly with daily checks and 6 weekly checks.
It is essential that you have a mechanical background working on a fleet of coaches, or lorries. You may have worked in a similar role with other HGV vehicles.
You will have managed a workshop previously and team of fitters. This may have been from a logistics company or dealership.
You will have experience managing fitters, servicing vehicles,or performing MOT`s, and will have experience programming and organising work schedules.
Ideally you will come from a Workshop Manager, Depot Manager, Fleet Manager or Operations Manager position in a similar company

They are a coach company with a fleet of vehicles including a workshop that maintains and repairs coaches and HGVs. The workshop and depot is equipped with garage equipment and includes a ramp for 3.5 tonnes and a mobile lift for HGV Vehicles.
