Role: IT Director
Location: Salford – Site based five days a week
Salary: £75,000 to £80,000

About the Role

As IT Director, you will lead the development and execution of the organisation’s IT strategy, ensuring that systems, infrastructure, and processes are robust, secure, and future-ready. This role will involve building and managing a small, team comprising infrastructure and development, while championing innovation working closely with the board and the group companies.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of the organisation’s IT and digital strategy.
• Recruit, manage and develop a small team, growing and developing their skills and accountability.
• Oversee infrastructure, development, communications, project management, and systems support.
• Ensure systems are secure, scalable, and compliant with regulations.
• Identify and implement innovative technology solutions and cost efficiencies.
• Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Deliver transformation initiatives aligned with company-wide objectives.
• Maintain ISO27001 certification.
• Manage relationships with external service providers.

What We’re Looking For

• We would expect you to have at least five years’ experience in an IT leadership role, ideally within an SME environment.
• This is a hands-on role so we would look for you to be proficient in Microsoft OS, Azure/M365, SQL, VMware as well as have some networking knowledge.
• Any experience of leading developers with C#/SQL experience would be very welcome
• On top of this we are looking for strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities with a track record in delivering change and transformation projects.
• You will need to be commutable to Salford as this role is site based, five days a week.

Role: IT Project Manager – 12 month fixed term
Location: Greenwich, London - Office based 5 days a week

You will be working for a leading construction/development company taking responsibility for two key projects – one in flight and one at inception.

Working from their modern Greenwich offices you will use your stakeholder and change management experience to improve company-wide engagement on both projects.

They are a very friendly bunch and like to get stuff done but need someone to make sure they are all pointing in the right direction at the same time, so communication and management are key.

Project one is to lead a major data governance project via a 3^rd party, ensuring compliance of all their data, data handling and storage mainly using Teams and SharePoint.

This project needs coordinated communication across all departments, structured training rollout and assisted onboarding.

Project two is the replacement of their Finance system which will require the production of a fully comprehensive PID followed by data migration, implementation, UAT, process documentation and training.

What are we looking for:

• Experience of leading transformation and change projects involving data.
• Prior experience of running a discovery phase and subsequent PID and implementation of a new system.
• Experience of managing third party suppliers
• Experience in both agile and waterfall methodologies
• Commutable to Greenwich and available to be on site five days a week
• Very strong communication, leadership and persuasive skills.
• Available to start the role at the beginning of January 2026.
