Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Home

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum
40 hours per week

We are looking for an experienced and committed Deputy Manager to join a 5-bedded children’s residential home in Birmingham.

This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys being actively involved in the day-to-day running of a home while also supporting the Registered Manager with the operational and administrative side of the service.

The role will be approximately 50% floor-based and 50% office-based.

When working on the floor, you will be responsible for supervising staff, delegating duties, supporting the team and helping to ensure the children receive consistently high standards of care.

The office-based element will involve assisting the Registered Manager with the smooth running of the home, including paperwork, care planning, staff support, compliance and other management responsibilities.

What we are looking for

The successful candidate must:

  • Hold a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People / Residential Childcare or equivalent
