Business Development Manager

Bring something genuinely new to the UK on-trade.

We’re looking for an experienced drinks industry salesperson to introduce a cutting-edge, disruptive brand to some of the South of England’s most exciting independent bars and hospitality operators.

This is a new business role.

You’ll be targeting progressive independent operators, typically owners of small groups of 2–5 venues, building relationships and getting the product behind the bar and into the hands of customers.

The proposition is different, contemporary and sits naturally alongside the growing health, wellness and changing drinking habits shaping the on-trade.

And importantly, you won’t be doing it alone. There’s strong marketing support behind the brand to help create awareness, interest and demand.

The Role

You’ll be:

  • Winning new independent on-trade accounts
  • Targeting premium bars, hospitality groups and multi-site independents
  • Developing relationships with owners and key decision-makers
  • Identifying the operators who like to be ahead of the curve
  • Building distribution and visibility across the South
  • Working closely with marketing to turn interest into listings and long-term accounts
  • Spending plenty of time out in the market, meeting customers and opening doors

What We Need

You’ll already have on-trade drinks sales experience and understand how independent operators buy, what gets their attention and how to turn a conversation into a listing.

We’re particularly interested in people who:

✔ Have a strong track record of winning new on-trade business
✔ Know the independent bar and hospitality scene
✔ Are comfortable dealing directly with owners and entrepreneurs
✔ Enjoy introducing new brands and concepts to the market
✔ Have a genuine interest in emerging consumer trends, health and wellness
✔ Are energetic, credible and commercially sharp

This probably isn’t for someone who wants to inherit a comfortable patch and simply manage existing accounts.

It is for someone who gets a kick out of finding the right operators, opening doors and building a market for something new.

Plastic Fabrictaor

Can you look at a drawing, work out how to make it and then actually make it?

We're looking for an experienced Plastic Fabricator for a specialist engineering business in Cannock.

This is a hands-on role for someone with proper fabrication skills.

You won't be standing on a production line repeating the same operation all day. You'll be working from engineering drawings, producing sketches where required, figuring out the best way to manufacture something and then getting on and making it.

The Role

You'll be:

  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Producing basic sketches for fabrication
  • Measuring, marking out, cutting, forming and fabricating plastic components
  • Working out practical solutions for bespoke and one-off requirements
  • Manufacturing components accurately from drawings and specifications
  • Checking your own work and taking pride in the finished product
  • Working closely with engineers on repairs, modifications and new requirements

We're looking for someone who:

✔ Has hands-on plastic fabrication experience

✔ Can confidently read engineering drawings

✔ Can measure, mark out and work accurately

✔ Is comfortable producing sketches and working things out for themselves

✔ Understands how things are actually made, not just how they look on a drawing

✔ Takes pride in producing good-quality work

We're looking for a fabricator, not a machine operator.

Someone with traditional workshop skills who can be given a drawing or a problem and trusted to turn it into a finished component.

If you're happiest with a drawing in one hand and the tools to make it happen in the other, we'd like to hear from you.

Service Engineer

Work on the kind of engineering problems that don't get fixed with a quick service call.

We're looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to support major manufacturing customers across the UK.

This is not a high-volume role driving from job to job completing routine service calls.

You'll work on complex industrial plant (mainly in the aerospace sector) and automated manufacturing systems, often spending several days on site diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, completing planned maintenance and delivering engineering improvements.

You'll be trusted to use your engineering judgement rather than simply work through a checklist.

The Role

You'll be responsible for:

  • Fault finding and repair of complex industrial equipment
  • Planned and preventative maintenance
  • Mechanical and/or electrical repairs
  • Installation, modification and upgrade work
  • Diagnosing problems and developing practical engineering solutions
  • Working from engineering drawings and technical information
  • Supporting longer-term maintenance and improvement projects

You'll be home based and travel directly to customer sites across the UK, so you can live anywhere in the UK but ideally across the Midlands or Central England.

We're looking for:

✔ Strong Mechanical and/or Electrical engineering experience

✔ Experience working with complex industrial machinery or plant - preferrably within the aeropsace sector

✔ Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills

✔ Comfortable working independently on customer sites

✔ Able to understand engineering drawings and technical information

✔ Happy with regular UK travel and staying away when required

Experience could come from aerospace, automotive, heavy engineering, industrial automation, capital equipment, process plant or manufacturing maintenance.

This isn't a job for a parts changer.

We're looking for a proper engineer who enjoys getting underneath a problem,
