WAREHOUSE MANAGER – DONCASTER

Up to £60,000 + Bonus + Pension
Modern NDC Facility | International Inbound & Outbound | Growing, Established Business

Are you a high-performing Warehouse Manager who thrives on ownership, pace, and getting things done?
Do you want to lead a major, modernised distribution centre and be trusted to run it your way?

We are an established, 20-year-old business entering a new phase of growth. Having outgrown our original site, we are investing in a larger, fit-for-purpose warehouse in Doncaster, complete with long-bay loading for efficient high-volume operations. We need a self-driven, independent, and action-focused leader to take charge of the entire DC operation.

The Role

As Warehouse Manager, you will run the full operation of our new NDC, overseeing international inbound flows, UK/EU outbound distribution, inventory control, team leadership, operational improvements, and the layout/optimisation of the new facility.

You will work closely with European depots, UK Head Office, and outdoor hardware and furniture suppliers worldwide.

But let’s be clear:
This is not a “desk manager” role.
This is a hands-on, decision-making, sleeves-up leadership position at the centre of a growing business.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading and developing the entire warehouse team
  • Managing all inbound/outbound flows across UK and European routes
  • Overseeing long-bay loading, unloading efficiency, storage optimisation and inventory accuracy
  • Driving operational improvement, space utilisation and workflow design
  • Playing a key role in the relocation, setup, and optimisation of the new site
  • Collaborating daily with UK Head Office, European depot leads, and global suppliers
  • Maintaining top-tier H&S standards across people, plant, and product
  • Taking ownership of decisions—big and small—to keep the operation moving

What We’re Looking For

  • Someone currently running a large (> 100,000 sq ft) warehouse or depot
  • Strong experience in international inbound logistics and outbound distribution
  • Proven team leadership in a high-volume environment
  • Background in bulky, outdoor, large-format, hardware or furniture products (ideal)
  • A self-starter, independent operator and absolute “doer”
  • A confident decision-maker who owns outcomes, not excuses
  • Someone who thrives in growth, change, and operational improvement

Why This Role Stands Out

✔ You will shape a flagship site during a major expansion phase
✔ You’ll have autonomy: we want a leader, not a caretaker
✔ Direct influence across UK and European operations
✔ A business with 20+ years of stability and ambitious future plans
✔ Competitive salary, performance bonus, and strong pension

If you’re ready to run a major warehouse operation with true ownership, pace, and influence—we’d love to hear from you.

Coburg Banks Limited is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
