Sales Executive – Extrusions / Fenestration

£45,000 – £50,000 + OTE circa £60,000 + Company Car / Car Allowance
West Midlands / North West / Manchester
Field-based with approximately one day per week in the West Midlands

An established UK manufacturer within the glazing, fenestration and extrusion sector is looking to recruit an experienced Sales Executive to help strengthen existing customer relationships and drive new business across the UK and Ireland.

This is a particularly good opportunity for somebody who enjoys technical, relationship-led sales but also has the hunger and tenacity to identify new opportunities and win business from competitors.

The company manufactures and supplies a broad range of extruded seals, gaskets and associated products, supporting customers including system houses, fabricators, installers, aluminium specialists, window and door manufacturers and other businesses across the construction and manufacturing sectors.

The Role

You will take responsibility for developing sales across an established customer base while actively identifying and converting new business opportunities.

Your role will include:

  • Managing and developing relationships with existing customers across the UK and Ireland.
  • Identifying and winning new business with system houses, fabricators, installers, manufacturers and stockists.
  • Developing relationships with key decision makers including owners, purchasing teams and production managers.
  • Understanding customers’ applications and requirements and recommending appropriate product solutions.
  • Working closely with the manufacturing and technical teams on bespoke and custom extrusion opportunities.
  • Building a strong pipeline, maintaining regular contact with prospects and providing straightforward weekly sales activity reporting.

About You

We are looking for an experienced salesperson who combines strong relationship-building skills with genuine new-business drive.

Ideally, you will have experience within one or more of the following areas:

  • Fenestration, windows, doors or glazing systems.
  • Aluminium systems or architectural aluminium.
  • Rubber seals, gaskets or extrusion products.
  • PVC, plastic or flexible extrusion.
  • Building products, roofing products or associated construction products.
  • Manufacturing or other technically led products.
Direct extrusion experience would be particularly useful, but it is not essential. What matters more is that you are commercially minded, technically curious and able to understand how a product works and where it can solve a customer's problem.

You should be:

  • A confident and credible B2B salesperson.
  • Comfortable developing both existing accounts and new business.
  • Tenacious, self-motivated and proactive.
  • Able to understand and discuss technical products.
  • Customer focused with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Capable of identifying opportunities rather than simply servicing existing accounts.
  • Comfortable working independently across a geographical territory.

The Opportunity

The business has been established for more than 25 years and manufactures from its own West Midlands facility. It supplies a broad range of standard and bespoke extruded and moulded products into the window, door, glazing and wider manufacturing sectors. Central Extrusions Ltd

There is already a significant customer base in place, but the company believes there is considerable scope to grow sales further. This appointment is therefore about both protecting and developing existing relationships and bringing fresh energy to new business development.

For the right person, there is also the opportunity to become an important part of the company's longer-term growth and succession plans.

Package

£45,000 – £50,000 basic salary
OTE circa £60,000
Company car or car allowance
6-month probationary period

The role is field based, with travel throughout the UK as required and approximately one day per week at the company's West Midlands operation.

If you are an experienced sales professional from the fenestration, glazing, extrusion, building products or technical manufacturing sectors and are looking for a role where you can genuinely make an impact, we'd like to hear from you.

Engineering
NEW
CLOSING SOON
Project Manager - Industrial Equipment

If you're used to managing a dozen small jobs at once, this probably isn't the role.

We're looking for a Project Manager to take responsibility for the delivery of major engineered capital equipment projects within large industrial manufacturing environments.

These are substantial, technically complex installations with long project lifecycles. You'll typically be focused on one major project at a time, taking real ownership of its successful delivery.

The Role

You'll oversee projects from the point they move into delivery through manufacture, installation, commissioning and final handover.

That will include:

  • Owning the project programme and key milestones

  • Coordinating engineering, manufacturing, suppliers and site activities

  • Managing installation and commissioning

  • Acting as a key point of contact for the customer

  • Managing contractors and specialist suppliers

  • Monitoring costs, timescales, quality and project risks

  • Managing changes and resolving issues as projects develop

  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely and to specification

These aren't quick-turnaround machinery projects. Installations can be large, complex and long-term, forming part of major manufacturing and production facilities.

Who We're Looking For

You'll already have experience managing capital equipment or major engineering projects within industrial manufacturing.

Your background could include:

  • Heavy industrial equipment

  • Process plant

  • Mechanical handling systems

  • Production plant and machinery

  • Process equipment

  • Tanks, vessels and pipework

  • Large-scale automated or engineered systems

What's important is the scale and complexity of the projects you've managed.

You'll be comfortable dealing with engineers, contractors, suppliers and demanding industrial customers, and capable of keeping a substantial project moving when there are a lot of plates spinning.

The Opportunity

This is a chance to manage proper engineering projects rather than a conveyor belt of small installations.

You'll have ownership, technical complexity and the satisfaction of seeing a major piece of engineered plant go from project plan to a fully operational installation.
