This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and highly analytical individual with significant experience of payroll processes and systems to join a high-profile international business and take responsibility for the entire payroll process for a workforce of 1600+ employees (and growing).

The Role
This is a standalone role that sits within HR rather than Finance with the role 75% input/processes and 25% reporting and analysis. You would take responsibility for ensuring the company has efficient and effective controls and systems in place in order to support growth and change within the organisation. Key tasks will include…
o Ensuring all staff are paid the correct amount on a timely basis and in line with regulatory requirements- the majority of this role will be processing
o Administration of third-party reconciliation (such as court orders) including payment schedules and correspondence

o Assist with the management of employee benefits

The Candidate
The role will suit a technically proficient individual with payroll experience gained within a multi-site business. There is a large volume of processing starters and leavers, between 30 – 50 of each per month. Payroll is involved in processing all of these so you will ideally come from an environment with sole responsibility for similar volumes.
You must have…
o Detailed knowledge of payroll processes including HMRC legislation
o An understanding of core processes and legislation related to auto enrolment, P11Ds, NI calculations etc
o Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel – Pivot Tables, VLookup etc
o Excellent analytical skills, high attention to detail, experience working to tight deadlines
o Experience improving working practices and making recommendations
o Immediately available candidates will be given preference

You will have a stable work history, with experience working for businesses with 1000+ staff. Evidence of size of companies on CV or covering note would be helpful.
